Platform Engineer - Orbit Core

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, construct, and oversee scalable platform infrastructure within both cloud and on-premises environments
• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines for the deployment of applications and infrastructure
• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure utilizing Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Write automation scripts and tools using programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Oversee containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management strategies
• Facilitate application deployment, release management, and environment setup
• Monitor platform health, system performance, and application reliability
• Establish observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Diagnose issues related to infrastructure deployment and applications
• Engage in collaboration with Development, SRE, Security, and Operations teams
• Adopt and implement DevSecOps methodologies, security measures, and compliance standards
• Enhance cloud infrastructure for optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
• Oversee source code repositories and implement effective branching strategies
• Lead initiatives focused on platform modernization, automation, and continuous improvement
