Platform Engineer - Control Automation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and execution of automation solutions for platforms across cloud infrastructure and application settings
• Design and uphold automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, patching, deployment, and operational activities
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions utilizing Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet
• Create automated controls to guarantee platform security, compliance, governance, and operational uniformity
• Implement self-healing and event-driven automation for incident resolution and enhanced operational effectiveness
• Automate standard platform administration and system upkeep tasks
• Integrate automation within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains
• Administer workflow and orchestration platforms such as Ansible Automation Platform, Rundeck, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and automated response systems
• Promote ongoing improvement initiatives through automation and process enhancement
• Work collaboratively with Infrastructure, Cloud Security, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams
• Establish automation standards, coding practices, and governance frameworks
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement proactive automation solutions
• Lead modernization and operational transformation initiatives for the platform
• Guide engineers and offer technical direction on automation best practices
