Performance Testing

Job Description:

• 6+ years of experience in Performance Testing and Monitoring of Web Applications using JMeter

• Strong command of scripting techniques, including the development of custom code to improve and tailor performance testing scripts and scenarios using JMeter where applicable

• Solid understanding of networking principles and modern, advanced technologies

• Excellent Linux fundamentals and a strong ability to diagnose system utilization

• Experience delivering and collaborating in Agile methodologies

• Exceptional documentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence others

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for performance testing

• Experience building performance testing frameworks and automating testing activities

• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and large data volumes

• Experience with some of the following technologies and services:

• Cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (especially Azure)

• Container-based service schedulers (e.g., Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, etc.)

• MySQL, Java, Python

• Performance testing tools (JMeter)

• Log management tools (Splunk)

• APM tools (Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog, )

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to diagnose performance issues and recommend effective solutions.

• Ability to assume additional responsibilities and initiatives such as Chaos Engineering, Observability, etc., as part of the transition to an SRE role.

• Ability to define a data strategy and work with the Test Data Management team to produce on-demand data.

• Experience with implementing internal client-side performance testing tools such as UX Engine to measure end-user experience, where applicable.

• Experience developing Virtual Services using Mountebank to support all performance testing needs.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and technology/business stakeholders.
