Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and install UIM cartridges, including modeling both logical and physical inventory.
- Configure Extension Points and develop Rule Sets in UIM cartridges.
- Integrate UIM with upstream systems using web services (SFWS, custom web services, and UIM APIs).
- Work with UIM Inventory Managers such as Service Manager, Connection Manager, and Search Criteria Manager.
- Develop and configure Calculate Technical Actions (CTAs) for services.
- Apply conceptual modeling principles for inventory design.
- Leverage domain knowledge across Wireless, Cable, DSL, and VoIP networks.
- Support Enterprise and Retail Voice/Data/GSM implementation projects.
- Utilize core skills in UIM, Unix, Java, PL/SQL for cartridge development and troubleshooting.
- Execute and maintain builds, code deployments, and documentation for development and test environments.
- Troubleshoot and configure base application packages.
- Write and maintain UNIX shell scripts for automation and deployment tasks.
- Understand and apply TMF/eTOM, SID Data Model, and Oracle RODOD/RSDOD frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality UIM solutions aligned with design documents (LLD).
- Work independently and within teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience in Oracle UIM (Unified Inventory Management) – Cartridge Development, Installation, and Configuration.
- Expertise in UIM PSR Model, Extension Points, Rule Sets, and Calculate Technical Actions.
- Hands-on experience in WebServices development and debugging (SFWS, Custom WS, UIM APIs).
- Proficiency in Java, PL/SQL, UNIX/Linux, and Shell scripting.
- Good understanding of Network Domains – Wireless, Cable, DSL, VoIP.
- Experience in Telecom Inventory Modelling and Service Fulfillment Systems.
- Familiarity with Oracle RODOD/RSDOD Solution and TMF frameworks (eTOM, SID).
- Ability to troubleshoot, configure, build, and deploy UIM components.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Exposure to Enterprise and Retail Voice/Data/GSM implementations.
- Experience in CI/CD deployment pipelines and version control tools (Git).
- Working knowledge of performance optimization and service orchestration.
Qualification:
- BE / BTech / MCA / MTech in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
