- Conduct eye examinations to assess vision and detect early signs of eye conditions.
- Provide advice to patients on proper eye care and the best ways to protect their vision.
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Identify eye health issues that may require medical attention.
- Stay up-to-date with trends and advancements in optometry practices.
- Collaborate with a team of optometrists and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of patient information.
- Educate patients on the use and care of corrective lenses.
- A degree in Optometry and a valid state license to practice.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of optometry practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Customer-oriented approach and empathy towards patients.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
