Job Summary:

The Team Leader for Surgery & Emergency Medicine Medical Coding oversees a team of coders, ensuring accurate and compliant coding for surgical and emergency procedures. This role includes supervising daily coding operations, supporting revenue cycle management, and ensuring compliance with coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of medical coders specializing in surgery and emergency medicine.
• Ensure accurate coding and compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.
• Collaborate with the billing department to optimize the revenue cycle and resolve denials.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare for external coding reviews.
• Provide coding training and updates to the team.
