Medical Coder - Surgery Coder

Role Responsibilities

1. Code surgical procedures accurately from SDS documentation
2. Ensure sequencing and compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations
3. Respond to audit findings and submit chart rebuttals
4. Query providers for incomplete or unclear documentation

Key Deliverables

1. Deliver accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes for all general surgery cases
2. Clear all coding edits and ensure coding integrity before submission
3. Stay current with coding updates, clinics, and continuing education
4. Maintain accurate records and resolve denials based on medical necessity
