Market Operations Manager
Job Description
Role & responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to manage and oversee the Market Operations processes, ensuring accurate and timely confirmations, reconciliations, reporting, and settlements across a range of financial products and markets inclusive of US, UK and Asia. The role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, operational processes, from both a back office and middle office perspective and the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments such as front office.
Key Responsibilities:
Confirmations: Manage trade confirmations and allocations, including handling customer coupon emails, DTCC CTM (Block and allocations), and confirmation. Oversee incoming confirmations and sending CTM (DTCC) confirmations.
Reconciliation: Daily cash position sheet, previous day closing balance reconciliation, and outstanding items reports. Reconcile various accounts and positions, including Kapiti account balances, Intellimatch repo branch reconciliation, and Bloomberg position reconciliation. Manage failed trade reporting and daily LCH Gloss reconciliation
Reporting: Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports such as KPI reports, cancelled trade reports, late trade reports, and collateral management holdings reports. Handle specific reporting requirements daily fails and holdover report, FICC clearing fund reports, and Euroclear reporting.
Settlements: Ensure accurate and timely settlements of trades, including trade ticket allocation retrieval, trade corrections, monthly clearing charges, and various other settlement processes. Manage collateral management activities including trade input, calculations, confirmation, settlement,
Preferred candidate profile
- Tertiary standard of education or a similar intellectual ability is required in relevant field of study
- Relevant industry accreditations (AFMA , FINRA, IOC/IAQ)
