Mainframe Senior Batch Monitoring and Support

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise daily batch processing operations within Mainframe production settings
• Investigate and resolve batch job failures, abends, and scheduling complications within established SLA timelines
• Execute job restarts, reruns, and recovery tasks utilizing Control M, CA7, ESP, or similar scheduling tools
• Examine JCL SYSOUT and spool outputs to determine root causes and implement necessary corrections
• Collaborate with application, database, infrastructure, and business teams during critical production incidents
• Guarantee the successful completion of end-of-day, end-of-month, and key business batch cycles
• Log, track, and resolve incidents and change requests via ServiceNow
• Conduct trend analysis on recurring failures and suggest automation or process enhancements
• Compile operational reports, batch status updates, and incident summaries for stakeholders
• Assist in disaster recovery testing, environment validations, and release deployments
• Maintain operational documentation, including SOPs and knowledge base articles
