Mainframe Developer
Job Description
• Develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Work on z/OS-based systems for application development and maintenance.
• Design and implement DB2 SQL queries, cursors, and stored procedures.
• Develop and support CICS-based screen and transaction processing applications.
• Handle batch processing jobs using JCL and optimize job performance.
• Perform data manipulation and sorting using SORT utilities in JCL and programs.
• Use mainframe tools like FileAid, SPUFI, Changeman, and IBM Debugger for development and troubleshooting.
• Analyze and resolve production issues in mainframe environments.
• Work with VSAM files and ensure efficient data handling.
• Collaborate with teams for system enhancements and production support activities.
