Mainframe Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and design enterprise Mainframe architecture and solutions
• Lead Mainframe application modernization migration and transformation initiatives
• Provide technical leadership for COBOL CICS DB2 JCL and VSAM based applications
• Review architecture application design and development standards
• Drive performance tuning scalability and system optimization activities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technology solutions
• Lead technical discussions code reviews and architectural governance
• Support application integration with distributed systems APIs and cloud platforms
• Ensure security compliance high availability and disaster recovery standards
• Mentor development and support teams on Mainframe best practices
• Manage production support escalations and critical issue resolution
• Prepare architecture documents technical roadmaps and solution blueprints
• Minimum Qualifications
• 9 to 15 years of experience in Mainframe technologies
• Strong expertise in COBOL JCL CICS DB2 and VSAM
• Experience in application architecture design and solution development
• Strong understanding of Mainframe infrastructure and batch processing environments
• Experience with SDLC Agile methodologies and architecture frameworks
• Proven experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience leading technical teams and architect level engagements
