Lead Software Engineer (Node)

In This Role, You Will:

• Provide technical leadership and mentor a team building internet-scale applications focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability from the ground up
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to develop customer-centric solutions
• Develop intuitive, interactive web apps using client-side (React) and RESTful server-side code (Node, TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Implement Microservices, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) in real-world applications
• Use a variety of databases from relational (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) to NoSQL (AWS DynamoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra)
• Work alongside top engineers on complex SaaS applications

Here's What You Need:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Primary Skills:

• 7 to 9 years software development and delivery experience
• Hands-on with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Experience designing architecture, including design patterns and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security)
• Experience with databases: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Couchbase, Cassandra, AWS DynamoDB, or other NoSQL
• Experience with messaging/queue systems such as SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ
• Strong leadership and influence in technical discussions and vision building

Preferred Skills:

• Full stack experience from frontend (React, Vue, Angular) to backend
• Knowledge of GraphQL
• Experience with Elasticsearch or Solr
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
• Experience with feature flags and trunk-based development
