Lead Platform Engineer - Control Automation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design and execution of automation solutions for platforms within cloud infrastructure and application settings
• Create and sustain automation frameworks that facilitate provisioning, configuration management, patching, deployment, and operational duties
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet
• Craft automated controls to uphold platform security, compliance, governance, and operational uniformity
• Create self-healing and event-driven automation processes for incident resolution and enhanced operational efficiency
• Streamline routine platform administration and system maintenance through automation
• Seamlessly integrate automation within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains
• Oversee workflow and orchestration tools like Ansible Automation Platform, Rundeck, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and automated response systems
• Promote continuous improvement through automation and process enhancement initiatives
• Work collaboratively with Infrastructure, Cloud Security, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams
• Set automation standards, coding practices, and governance frameworks
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop preventative automation strategies
• Lead initiatives focused on platform modernization and operational transformation
• Guide engineers and offer technical direction on best practices in automation
