Lead Engineer Civil Energy From Waste
Job Description
- Civil & Structural Design
Review, design, and detail civil and structural systems for power plant facilities, including waste storage pits, boiler structures, turbine generator buildings, chimneys, silos, WTP, and balance-of-plant structures. Prepare foundation layouts, RCC structures, steel structures, equipment foundations, and pile foundations.
- Coordination & Multidisciplinary Integration
Work closely with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I teams to ensure civil designs are fully integrated and constructible. Coordinate with vendors, sub-consultants, and contractors to achieve timely approvals and project deliverables.
- Drawings & Documentation
Prepare and review civil drawings, GA drawings, IFC drawings, bar bending schedules, and structural calculations. Conduct 3D drawing review workshops and building review meetings.
- Proposal & Cost Engineering
Participate in proposal engineering, including BOQ estimation, cost optimization, quantity take-offs, and scope definition during tender and bidding stages. Ensure civil scope is optimized and cost-effective.
- Standards & Compliance
Apply international and regional design codes (IS, BS, Eurocodes, ACI, or equivalent) as applicable. Review vendor civil drawings, calculation notes, and construction methodologies for compliance with project specifications.
- Site Engineering & Construction Support
Provide site engineering support including constructability assessments, BOQ verification, RCC quantity control, and resolution of site queries. Support construction and commissioning stages, including punch point resolution.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring
Guide and lead civil engineering teams, check drawings, mentor engineers and draftspersons, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Software & Tools
Hands-on experience using structural design software such as STAAD, ETABS, SAFE, RCDC, or equivalent.
