Laundry Associate

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for managing staff uniforms, guest laundry, sorting, and ensuring the proper recording of linens and towels prior to processing.

What will I be doing

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Laundry Collection & Delivery: Collect in-house guest laundry and ensure timely, accurate, and professional delivery. Ensure all laundry bags are properly labeled with guest name, room number, and laundry items.
• Item Verification: Count and verify all items collected, referencing the laundry price lists signed by the guest. Note any discrepancies or damages and report them immediately to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Damage Inspection: Check all items for damage or stains and promptly report any issues to the Laundry Supervisor before processing.
• Valuable Item Handling: Report any valuable items found in guest pockets (cash, jewelry, credit cards, etc.) immediately to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Sorting and Recording: Sort and record dirty linens, towels, rugs, robes, and food & beverage items before sending them to the laundry. Ensure proper documentation of cleaned linens upon receipt from the main laundry room.
• Linen Inspection: Examine the quality finishes of laundered linen before placing them on shelves. Handle small repairs such as sewing buttons or hemming as needed.
• Uniform Distribution: Distribute clean uniforms to hotel personnel according to company specifications. Ensure proper recording of uniforms, including both assigned and unassigned items, as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned.
• Uniform Quality Control: Inspect uniforms for damage and remove substandard uniforms from circulation, issuing replacements as needed.
• Technical Issue Reporting: Report any technical problems or deficiencies with laundry equipment to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for linens, uniforms, and other laundry items throughout the process.
