Key Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities:

• EU Private Equity round-up
• Round-up of the largest pending deals and auction situations involving private equity houses over the last week
• Process: Browsing one week intel (150intell approx.); Select stories related to PE and active process; Categorize into new, current and small situations; Draft short intro referring to relevant intel.
• Frequency: Weekly
• Hours spent weekly: 3.5hrs
• Average VEV: 826

US Deal pipeline

• Report that compiles market intelligence from the week prior on auction processes that have been active over the last six months. It also compiles a shortlist of late-stage origination
• Process: Going through intel and identify active auctions over the last 6m
• Frequency: Weekly
• Hours spent weekly: 4.5hrs
• Average VEV: 1,071

Data Requests

• Support the editorial team with data and visual requests to support trends
• Process: Pulling data from Designer, building charts and identifying main data trends
• Frequency: On-Demand
• Hours spent weekly: 2hrs

Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Reports

1. M&A Overview:

• Provide a comprehensive analysis of M&A within a specific region or sector
• Highlight key deals and trends

2. Data Analysis:

• Examine large amount of datasets and interpret them in the context of the broader macroeconomic environment

3. Data Visualization:

• Transform datasets into clear, insightful charts and graphs

Required

• Economics / Accounting / Finance / M&A Research background
• Comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite
• A self-starter attitude with a cooperative approach
• An investigative mind and attention to detail
• An interest in financial markets and macro events
• Excellent time management and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with PowerBI
• Background/Interest in M&A
• Experience with using databases, working with large amounts of data
