IT&DATA Sr. Product Analyst Finance Accounting

Job Overview:

• Assist the Product Owner by serving as the senior functional liaison between Finance business stakeholders and SAP implementation teams focused on Finance Accounting and Master Data aspects.
• This position safeguards and enhances the Themis Finance core model by independently scrutinizing and validating functional designs, configuration choices, integration testing, and deployment outputs.
• The role addresses the existing internal capability shortfall by injecting practical SAP Finance deployment knowledge into the Product Team, preserving vital expertise within the organization and minimizing reliance on external consultants.
• This is an L8 position due to its demand for seasoned judgment, independence, and the authority to assess complex work with global and cross-process implications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Outline essential duties, operational tasks, and stakeholder collaboration efforts.
• Key Duties
• Convert intricate business and process requirements into concise functional expectations, user stories, acceptance criteria, and validation guidelines.
• Safeguard the Themis Finance core model by evaluating proposed modifications against global design principles, harmonization goals, and long-term product viability.
• Conduct functional impact assessments across processes, company codes, master data, interfaces, and interconnected SAP modules.
• Analyze defects, incidents, and enhancement requests to identify root causes and propose sustainable solutions instead of temporary fixes.
• Support deployment and integration initiatives by engaging in design reviews, defining testing strategies, ensuring cutover readiness, facilitating knowledge transfer, and stabilizing post-go-live operations.
• Document decisions and maintain functional records to ensure that critical Themis and Master Data knowledge remains within the organization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration Duties
• Serve as the vital link between Finance business stakeholders and technical or configuration teams, ensuring mutual understanding of business intentions and SAP implications.
• Guide solution discussions, constructively challenge external partners, and communicate decisions, impacts, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
• Collaborate with Finance Design Authority, DBS Record to Report, Master Data teams, other Finance Product Teams, chapter experts, project teams, and AMS providers.
• Mentor Product Analysts and enhance internal SAP Finance capabilities and consistent validation practices.

Technical Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of Themis or another global SAP Finance core model.
• Solid experience in Finance Master Data, including General Ledger accounts, cost centers, profit centers, organizational structures, governance, and distribution.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or Central Finance.
• Experience in cross-module integration, particularly in SD, MM, Asset Accounting, Controlling, or intercompany transactions.
• Background in global core model governance, design authority, or multi-country deployment frameworks.
• Business analysis, SAP product management, or Agile certification preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP Finance experience acquired through implementation, integration, or deployment projects, rather than just theoretical knowledge or support coordination.
• Strong SAP FI/CO functional and configuration expertise, with the capability to comprehend solution configurations, evaluate proposed changes, and identify functional or integration risks.
• In-depth understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, including Record to Report, financial closing, postings, controls, and master data interdependencies.
• Proven track record of reviewing, challenging, and validating functional designs, configuration decisions, test evidence, and deployment deliverables from both internal and external teams.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into functional solutions and communicating solution constraints, impacts, and trade-offs to Finance stakeholders.
• Ability to identify end-to-end dependencies across SAP Finance and integrated modules or applications.
• Capacity to operate independently, make recommendations, escalate significant risks, and serve as a trustworthy link between business stakeholders, Product Owners, project teams, AMS, and external partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, structured problem-solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication abilities.
