ITAM/Hardware Asset Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the inventory of IT assets, encompassing laptops, desktops, servers, network devices, and peripheral equipment
• Monitor hardware assets throughout their entire lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, transfer, and disposal
• Ensure the accuracy of asset records within ITAM tools such as ServiceNow, HAM, Flexera, Ivanti, BMC Helix, or Lansweeper
• Supervise asset compliance and guarantee adherence to organizational policies and audit standards
• Collaborate with procurement teams and vendors regarding hardware acquisitions, contract renewals, warranty management, and replacements
• Perform regular asset audits and conduct physical verification of hardware inventory
• Manage asset allocation, including movements, returns, and recovery processes during employee onboarding and offboarding
• Monitor warranty, lease, and support contracts to ensure timely renewals
• Produce reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and inventory for management review
• Ensure the secure and compliant disposal of end-of-life hardware assets
• Collaborate closely with IT support, procurement, finance, and security teams to maintain precise asset data
• Identify and address discrepancies between physical assets and asset management records
• Support software and hardware reconciliation and configuration management efforts
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Assist in the implementation of asset management processes, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
