IT- Sr Systems Engineer (Boomi)

Responsibilities

Boomi Development & Integration

• Design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise integrations using Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
• Build and manage Boomi processes, APIs, connectors, listeners, and reusable components.
• Configure and manage Atoms, Molecules, Atom Clouds, and environments across Dev/Test/Prod.
• Implement API management: policies, throttling, rate limiting, versioning.
• Develop REST, SOAP, HTTP/S, FTP/SFTP, file-based, event-driven integrations.
• Implement error handling, alerting, retries, reprocessing, exception frameworks.
• Support Boomi Atom Queues and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Document integration flows, data mappings, dependencies, and operational runbooks.

Java & Supporting Skills

• Hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Build/consume RESTful APIs and Webservices using Java and webservers like Tomcat.
• Develop custom Java or Groovy scripts within Boomi for complex transformations.
• Experience with batch processing using core Java.

Database Development & Data Processing

• Strong SQL skills with Oracle/PostgreSQL.
• Design and develop stored procedures, functions, packages for data validation, transformations, aggregation, and batch operations.
• Performance tuning of queries, indexes, and execution plans.
• Troubleshoot data-related production issues (locking, inconsistencies, performance degradation).

Security & Production Readiness

• Strong fundamentals in SFTP, HTTPS, encryption protocols (PGP, AES).
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates (installation, renewal, trust chains, handshake errors).
• Troubleshoot production issues: expired/mismatched certificates, invalid PGP keys, TLS/cipher issues, authentication/authorization failures, network/firewall/proxy issues.
