IP Verification Engineer (MTS)

We are seeking a highly skilled IP Verification Engineer to join our world-class Silicon Design Engineering team at AMD. As a Member of Technical Staff (MTS), you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing comprehensive verification strategies to validate new and existing features of AMD's industry-leading graphics processor IP.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring first-time-right silicon by identifying and addressing issues early in the design cycle through functional verification techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and execute verification plans for complex IP blocks.
• Develop and maintain testbenches using SystemVerilog/UVM.
• Write directed and constrained-random test cases for simulation and debugging.
• Perform functional coverage analysis and drive closure.
• Collaborate closely with design, architecture, and firmware teams to identify corner cases and align verification with design intent.
• Contribute to automation of verification flows and regression environments.
• Participate in design reviews and help define IP-level specifications.
• Ensure zero bug escapes into production silicon through thorough and systematic verification.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8–11 years of experience in IP or SoC functional verification.
• Proficient in SystemVerilog, UVM, and verification methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of digital design and VLSI fundamentals.
• Solid hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g., VCS, Questa, Incisive).
• Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Python, or TCL.
• Good understanding of coverage-driven verification and debug tools.
• Exposure to hardware/software interaction and firmware validation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments.

Educational Qualifications:

• UG: Any Graduate in Engineering (preferably ECE/EEE/CS)
• PG: Any Postgraduate (M.Tech/MS preferred)
