Insurance Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent with at least 7 years of experience is required
• Proficient in the complete System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across various technologies and platforms, preferably in Property and Casualty or Life Insurance
• 5 to 12 years of experience in one or more key areas within the P&C Life Insurance domain
• Experience serving as a Product Owner (PO) or in a similar role within an Agile Team environment, particularly with Scrum methodologies
• Thorough understanding of Agile Team dynamics
• Exceptional collaboration abilities
• Experience utilizing Agile Poker, WSJF, and comparable Agile estimation tools
• Proven success in refining backlogs for intricate system implementations
• Demonstrated capability to rapidly learn new and complex systems
• Practical knowledge in accurately assigning story points
• Experience in refining User Stories
• Proven track record of minimizing rework after a Story has been accepted by the PO
• Familiarity with best practices in documentation
• Ability to translate business requirements into well-defined technical and system specifications
• Experience in modeling business processes, data flows, and workflows that illustrate the relationships between insurance data entities
• Strong business consulting skills related to complex IT system implementations lasting 12 to 18 months
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, adept in managing business stakeholders
• Experience in conducting business requirement analysis and use case modeling from a consulting perspective
• A willingness to work in a management consulting environment that involves regular travel

Technical Requirements:

• Primary expertise in the Insurance domain, specifically Life Insurance

Additional Responsibilities:

• Proficient in SQL with database experience
• Knowledge of ETL processes and Data Warehouse concepts
• Experience with policy and claims data migration projects
• Prior experience with tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, and Qlik
• A unique blend of technical proficiency and business insight, coupled with strong self-confidence
• Familiarity with P&C Commercial and Specialty insurance
• Exposure to the Lloyds of London Insurance market
• Experience with various Insurance software solutions and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products like Guidewire and Duck Creek
• A unique blend of technical proficiency and business insight, coupled with strong self-confidence
• Strong logical reasoning and deductive skills
• Awareness of AI technologies
