Instrumentation & Controls Engineer - GFS

Job description

• We are looking for a candidate to join our Global Facilities business unit in the Mumbai office to support Instrumentation & Control design activities for the above-listed facilities. The engineer will be responsible for developing I&C engineering design packages and calculations in support of new or retrofit projects. Specific duties include the following:
• Design I&C systems and equipment as per the requirements of each client and facility.
• Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and/or control schematics as required.

Develop control system deliverables such as:

• I/O configuration and partitioning to hardware
• Field connection diagrams
• DCS connection diagrams
• Loop drawings
• Control panel design
• Instrument wiring diagrams
• Cable schedule
• Functional Descriptions (FDS) / Controls Narratives
• IQ/OQ documentation
• Control room layouts

Develop instrumentation deliverables such as:

• Instrument demolition/installation diagrams
• Instrument datasheets
• Instrument location plans
• Conduit routing
• I/O lists
• Review vendor drawing submittals to confirm design compliance.
• PLC programming and design of HMI.
• Perform quality reviews of project submittals.
• Develop designs that are compliant with prevalent codes, standards, and good engineering practices followed in the industry.
• Work with a senior engineer in supporting design activities on the project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering from an accredited program or a recognized institute.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. Experience in food & consumer product and mission-critical facility design is a plus.
• Knowledge of the following programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred: Rockwell Studio 5000, SLC, PLC5, Modicon, GE, Siemens, Schneider.
• Knowledge of the following HMIs is preferred: Rockwell FTView SE/ME, Wonderware InTouch, Modicon, GE, Siemens.
• Knowledge of the following distributed control system platforms is preferred but not required: Emerson DeltaV, ABB Symphony Plus, and Siemens T3000.
• Hands-on CAD experience is a must. Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• Proficient in the English language and must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Previous consulting engineering experience strongly preferred.
