Bachelors degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized University

Area of Experience

1. Conduct review of designs and perform structural analysis for steel buildings, warehouses, platforms, pipe racks, mezzanines, canopies, industrial structures, and other steel structural systems.

2. Build precise 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.

3. Create general arrangement drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, assembly drawings, erection drawings, and detailed connection drawings.

4. Prepare structural calculations and design reports using STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or other approved structural analysis software.

5. Design steel members and bolted/welded connections, including base plates, anchor bolts, bracing systems, and associated supporting components.

6. Produce material take-offs, BOQs, cutting lists, bolt lists, and CNC/NC fabrication files generated from Tekla.

7. Review client drawings, project specifications, design criteria, and applicable codes prior to commencing design work.

8. Ensure adherence to AISC, ASCE, IBC, and AWS standards as well as all project requirements.

9. Coordinate with estimation, procurement, production, fabrication, quality, and site erection teams.

10. Review and verify shop drawings, connection details, and Tekla models before issuing documents for fabrication.

11. Optimize steel structures to deliver safety, constructability, material efficiency, and cost-effective solutions.

12. Address technical issues related to design, fabrication, and erection, and provide responses to RFIs.

13. Prepare design updates/revisions and as-built drawings based on approved site modifications.

14. Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to manage technical comments and approvals.

15. Ensure proper document control and that drawings are issued in line with the project schedule.

16. Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and site erection activities. Additional certification : Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures, Strong proficiency in AutoCAD., Professional experience in at least one structural analysis program, such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis. Codes Knowledge : AISC, ASCE, IBC, and AWS standards
