Your Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Specialist: Cloud Application Operations, you will deliver round-the-clock technical support for cloud solutions, managing challenges related to applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure. You will execute Level 1.5 remediation across the system, adhering to a standardized workflow and incident management process.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Provide Technical Assistance: Resolve issues related to applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure using a variety of tools and technologies, including APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware components, network, security, and infrastructure.
• Manage Incident Resolution: Capture and document incident details, choose suitable actions to address issues, and communicate the solution or plan to the client, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Ensure Cloud Elasticity: Oversee Application ID and facilitate cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources in accordance with business needs, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Monitor Client Environment: Employ monitoring tools such as IBM APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Runscope, and Netcool OmniBus to observe the client’s environment, recognizing potential issues and taking proactive measures.
• Provide Service Management Reports: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly integrated service management reports across the solution, ensuring transparency and visibility into service performance.

Essential Technical and Professional Expertise

• Exposure to Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes nodes, along with the ability to resolve related technical issues.
• Experience with Monitoring Tools: Understanding of monitoring tools such as IBM APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Runscope, and Netcool OmniBus, with the capability to use them for identifying potential issues.
• Understanding of ITIL Processes: Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change management, and Integrated Service Level Management, with the ability to apply these in the context of cloud application operations.
• Experience with Ticketing and Automation Tools: Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, IBM Control Desk & Remedy, and automation tools such as Rundeck and IBM Runbook Automation, with the ability to utilize them effectively.
• Knowledge of Cloud Application Architecture: Understanding of high-level cloud application architecture, with the capability to conduct initial incident analysis and manage Application ID and cloud elasticity.

• Familiarity with Scripting Languages: Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash would be advantageous for automation and enhancing efficiency in cloud application operations.
• Knowledge of Cloud Security: Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks would be beneficial in maintaining the security and integrity of cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies: Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices would be valuable in collaborating with development teams and facilitating smooth deployment of cloud applications.
