Job Description
The technology organization relies on the CMDB team for ensuring accurate near real-time representation of CI states, properties, and relationships. Candidates will be expected to act as a subject matter expert in the ServiceNow platform and core CMDB concepts/technologies. Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- The creation of automated discovery plans with ownership of discovery support
- Maintaining CMDB including: data updates, CI creation/retirement, integration maintenance (service graph connectors and custom)
- Integrating the CMDB with other books of records across the technology organization
- Driving service owners across the technology to ensure the CMDB remains healthy and up to date
- Identifying key performance indicators and developing dashboards capable of tracking CMDB health and identifying areas where focus is needed
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong influencing/negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Familiarity with most of the following technologies- JavaScript, Angular
- Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership.
- Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example.
Required Experience & Education:
- 8-11 Years of experience required.
- Batchelors degree or equivalent work experience required
- 10+ years experience managing CMDB discovery execution and patterns.
- 5+ years experience in automation technologies: Ansible, Phython and Powershell.
- 5+ years experience in CMDB management in ServiceNow
- ITIL v3+ certification
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to define and develop customized solutions that meet business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines andor after-hours support.
