Informatica Admin

Job Overview:

• We are looking for a proficient Informatica Administrator with substantial UNIX/Linux knowledge to oversee, support, and enhance Informatica environments.
• The successful candidate will guarantee optimal performance, availability, and reliability of ETL systems while managing daily operations, deployments, and troubleshooting tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage Informatica PowerCenter BDM environments.
• Administer Informatica domains, repositories, integration services, and nodes.
• Oversee code deployment, migration, and release management across Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.
• Monitor workflows, sessions, and logs to confirm successful execution.
• Troubleshoot and address challenges related to ETL job performance, bottlenecks, and failures.
• Conduct patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery tasks for Informatica systems.
• Establish and oversee user roles, security, and access control policies.
• Collaborate with development teams for performance tuning and optimization efforts.
• Administer and sustain UNIX/Linux servers that support Informatica platforms.
• Create and maintain shell scripts for process automation and monitoring.
• Evaluate system performance, including CPU, memory, and disk usage.
• Manage file system permissions and batch processing jobs.
• Schedule and oversee jobs utilizing cron or enterprise schedulers.
• Analyze logs and resolve system-level issues that affect Informatica workflows.
• Provide production support and be a part of on-call rotations.
• Work in conjunction with ETL developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams.
• Document system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards.
• Support processes for incident, problem, and change management.

Technical Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in Informatica Administration, specifically with PowerCenter BDM.
• Strong foundation in UNIX/Linux systems.
• Practical proficiency in Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control M, and cron.
• Comprehensive understanding of ETL and data warehousing principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.
