Candidate must be familiar with SQL technology and various core components of SQL in order to perform the SQL DBA JOB.
Hands on Experience in with SQL on-premises and Azure Backup strategies. Migration and assessment of SQL on-prem to Azure.
Candidate must be already to working in 24 by 7 environment
Must have skills around handling Migration & Database Upgrade, Log Shipping, Clustering, Performance Tuning, Performance Issues.
Sound knowledge on troubleshooting performance issues
Hands on Experience with writing database queries and Knowledge of database design and theories
Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools and Ola Hallengren scripts
Familiarity and hands on experience with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
Monitor database performance, performance tuning and implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
Familiarity with database management best practices and IT security best practices
Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
Excellent attention to detail, with Problem-solving and critical thinking
Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms.
