IMS Engineer

Maimsd Technology is seeking an experienced IMS Engineer to join our Core Network team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Ericsson IMS and CS Core domains (including VoLTE & SDM), with hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting critical network elements. This role involves comprehensive fault and configuration management, coordination with project teams, customer issue resolution, and the ability to guide team members in a fast-paced telecommunications environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Fault Management and Configuration activities for the CS Core Network (VoLTE & SDM).
• Coordinate closely with Project teams for HLD/LLD (High-Level Design/Low-Level Design)/TOL (Technical Offer Letter)/Design reviews.
• Provide hands-on coordination with project teams for all network integration activities.
• Handle Trouble Tickets (TT) and Change Requests (CR) diligently, ensuring resolution within defined SLAs.
• Manage customer issues effectively, ensuring that end-customer services are maintained with minimal disruption.
• Prepare MOPs (Method of Procedures)/WIs (Work Instructions) for all network activities and document new learnings.
• Prepare, implement, and verify the configuration and integration of a Node / System within the IMS and CS Core domains.
• Coordinate with the care team for finding and analyzing RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of complex issues.
• Guide team members to execute complex and critical configuration changes accurately and safely.
• Track issues related to tools and ensure timely escalation as per the pre-defined matrix.
• Attend governance calls with region and internal teams. Responsible for analyzing and implementing feedback received from customers.

Key Technical Skillset:

• Relevant technical experience on Ericsson IMS & CS Core Domain (3G/4G/5G Core Nodes such as CSCF, SBG, MTAS, IP Works, EMM, MSS, MGW, etc.) or SDM Domain (HLR, HSS, UDM, AUSF, MMTEL etc.).
• Knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture and experience on Microservices, Kubernetes, Dockers, and Containers.
• Excellent knowledge of Core IMS Architecture, Interfaces, and Protocols.
• Must have hands-on experience on LTE/VoLTE and SDM E2E call flows.
• Good exposure in IMS architecture with all its nodes.
• Good understanding of Service Based Architecture concepts and Network Slicing.
• In-depth knowledge of 5G / LTE call flows including Registration, Re-Registration, De-Registration, VoLTE Call, Break-in / Break-Out, Hand-over, and roaming etc.
