IMS Engineer

A skilled IMS Engineer is sought to manage, maintain, and optimize core network services. This role involves comprehensive fault management, active coordination with project teams for network integration, and diligent handling of customer issues to ensure continuous service. You will be instrumental in maintaining critical network elements, implementing new configurations, and contributing to a highly reliable telecommunications environment.

Key Responsibilities

• CS Core Network (VoLTE & SDM) fault management and configuration are primary responsibilities.
• Coordination with project teams is essential for HLD/LLD/TOL/Design reviews.
• Network integration activities will involve hand-in-hand coordination with project teams.
• Trouble ticket/CR handling within SLA is required.
• Customer issue handling and ensuring end-customer services are maintained are crucial.
• MOP/WI preparation for activities and new learnings is expected.
• Configuration and integration of Nodes/Systems will be prepared, implemented, and verified.
• Coordination with the care team for finding and analyzing RCAs is necessary.
• Guidance to team members for executing complex & critical configuration changes will be provided.
• Tracking of issues related to tools and timely escalation as per pre-defined matrix is a key responsibility.
• Attendance at governance calls with region and internal teams is required, along with analyzing and implementing customer feedback.

Technical Skill Requirements

• Relevant technical experience on Ericsson IMS & CS Core Domain (3G/4G/5G Core Nodes CSCF, SBG, MTAS, IP Works, EMM, MSS, MGW, etc.) or SDM Domain (HLR, HSS, UDM, AUSF, MMTEL etc.) is mandatory.
• Knowledge on Cloud Native Architecture and experience on Microservices, Kubernetes, Dockers, Containers are required.
• Excellent knowledge on Core IMS Architecture Interface and Protocols is essential.
• Hands-on experience on IMS/LTE/VoLTE and SDM E2E call flows is a must.
• Good exposure in IMS architecture with all the nodes is required.
• Good understanding on Service Based Architecture concepts/Network Slicing is vital.
• Familiarity with call flows of 5G / LTE like Registration, Re-Registration, De-Registration, VoLTE Call, Break-in / Break-Out, Hand-over, roaming etc., is essential.
