Hyperion Essbase & Integration Engineer

Location: United States (Remote) or India (Hyderabad)

Work hours: Schedule aligned to EST/PST to support US-based coverage;

India-based team members must cover overlap hours

Scope of Work

• Assist with, enhance, and optimize Essbase cube design, calculation logic, and reporting structures
• Create and maintain data integration flows between Hyperion Planning/Essbase and upstream or downstream systems (ERP, data warehouses, FDMEE/Data Management, ODI, etc.)
• Develop, update, and maintain calculation scripts, business rules, and MaxL scripts
• Diagnose and resolve data load failures, integration disruptions, and reporting discrepancies
• Support enhancement requests driven by business and finance reporting requirements
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide production support
• Work closely with infrastructure and finance business teams to ensure end-to-end data accuracy
  
  

Required Skillset

• 4–8 years of experience working with Essbase (BSO and/or ASO) within an enterprise finance/EPM environment
• Proven expertise with calc scripts, MaxL, and business rules
• Hands-on experience with data integration tools such as FDMEE/Data Management or ODI
• Strong SQL skills to validate data and troubleshoot issues
• Experience supporting Hyperion Planning alongside Essbase
• Knowledge of financial reporting principles (consolidations, planning cycles, etc.)

• Exposure to Oracle Cloud EPM (PBCS/EPBCS)
• Experience with EPM Automate and/or scripting to support automated integration jobs
• Experience integrating with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, etc.)
• Prior experience supporting eCommerce or fintech finance teams
• Experience working with large-scale, high-transaction-volume data environments
