Job Description

Key Responsibilities of the HR Intern:

  • Assist with Recruitment Processes:
  • Source candidates from various platforms (e.g., job boards, LinkedIn) and directly reach out to potential recruits.
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the job criteria.
  • Conduct initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications and suitability for open positions.
  • Job Descriptions and Postings:
  • Prepare and update detailed job descriptions for open positions, clearly outlining the skills, qualifications, and responsibilities required.
  • Ensure job descriptions align with the company's recruitment needs and HR guidelines.
  • Interviewing and Candidate Selection:
  • Conduct interviews (via phone, video, or in-person) with potential sales and other staff.
  • Use industry-standard techniques to assess whether candidates have the necessary skills, experience, and personality to fit with the company culture.
  • Onboarding New Hires:
  • Coordinate with new hires, guiding them through the hiring, onboarding, and training processes to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Ensure that all the new-hire paperwork (e.g., contracts, tax forms) is completed accurately and timely.
  • Employee Advocacy and Support:
  • Serve as an advocate for both new hires and current employees, offering assistance and support where needed.
  • Address basic HR-related queries and concerns from employees, helping foster a positive work environment.
  • HR Data Management:
  • Assist with maintaining HR records and employee data, ensuring they are organized and up-to-date.
  • Track the progress of the recruitment pipeline and report any developments to HR managers.

Skills & Qualities Beneficial for the Intern Role:

  1. Strong Communication Skills: To effectively screen candidates, conduct interviews, and communicate with new hires and employees.
  2. Attention to Detail: For handling job descriptions, candidate resumes, and new-hire documentation.
  3. Knowledge of Recruitment Platforms: Familiarity with job boards, LinkedIn, or any recruitment platforms is helpful.
  4. People-Oriented: The intern should be able to engage with people, understand their needs, and offer support effectively.
  5. Basic HR Knowledge: Familiarity with HR processes like hiring, onboarding, and employee management can be a plus.
