Hiring for SRE Tools Engineer

Position Summary

We are in search of a proactive DevOps Engineer with extensive expertise in CI/CD, Azure infrastructure, automation, and containerized environments, along with practical knowledge of Splunk and Dynatrace administration.

This position will concentrate on the automation of deployments, infrastructure management, and observability configurations—ensuring that applications and services can be swiftly onboarded, validated, and prepared for production monitoring.

Primary Responsibilities

1. CI/CD & Release Automation
2. Create and uphold pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools. Automate build processes, testing, deployments, and post-deployment validation, integrating approval workflows, rollback procedures, and secure release methodologies.
3. Azure Infrastructure & Infrastructure as Code
4. Provision and oversee Azure services such as AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, networking, and storage. Employ Terraform, Bicep, or comparable tools to automate provisioning, standardize configurations, and enhance scalability and cost efficiency.
5. Containerization & Kubernetes
6. Develop and manage Docker images and Kubernetes deployment configurations. Oversee AKS workloads, scaling, resource allocation, and health checks; troubleshoot issues related to containers, connectivity, and deployments.
7. Automation & Security
8. Create reusable scripts in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to minimize manual tasks across infrastructure, deployments, and operational workflows. Automate configuration management and incorporate security scanning, secrets management, and access controls into the delivery process.
9. Splunk & Dynatrace Administration, Automation & Production Readiness
10. Automate platform configuration, agent/forwarder deployment, and application onboarding to expedite production-monitoring readiness. Assist with access management, platform health, and troubleshooting. Integrate reusable automation and readiness assessments into CI/CD pipelines to ensure log ingestion, telemetry collection, and monitoring coverage prior to go-live.
11. SRE & Production Reliability
12. Implement SRE principles such as SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and post-incident evaluations. Collaborate with SRE L2/L3 teams to address production challenges, decrease MTTR, and automate recurring operational and recovery tasks.
13. Collaboration & Enablement
14. Provide reusable automation templates, operational runbooks, and engineering standards. Facilitate self-service provisioning and monitoring onboarding, integrate workflows with ServiceNow or Jira, and assist teams with deployment and operational readiness.

Essential Qualifications

1. 5+ years of practical experience in DevOps or platform engineering, encompassing CI/CD ownership, infrastructure automation, and production troubleshooting.
2. Proficient in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools, along with Git-based workflows.
3. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, and Linux.
4. Strong scripting capabilities in Python, PowerShell, or Bash, including API-driven automation and tool integration.
5. Familiarity with both Splunk and Dynatrace administration, including access management, forwarder/agent configuration, data onboarding, platform health, and troubleshooting.
6. Capability to automate monitoring setups, facilitate application onboarding, and confirm production-monitoring readiness.
7. Understanding of SRE principles, along with strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
8. Preferred Qualifications
9. Experience in supporting retail/e-commerce platforms, microservices, and distributed systems. Knowledge of Helm, GitOps/Argo CD, Prometheus, and Grafana.
10. Certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Splunk, or Dynatrace are advantageous but not required.
