JOB DESCRIPTION
1) Pricing Strategy Development: Define and execute pricing strategies and methodologies, focusing on cost-plus models and market-based pricing to enhance profitability.
2) Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and demand fluctuations across various shipping lanes to adjust rates proactively.
3) Rate Negotiation & Procurement: Negotiate with shipping lines, airlines, and NVOCCs to secure competitive freight rates and space, especially during peak seasons.
4) Tender Management (RFQ): Lead the submission of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and tenders, collaborating with sales and operations for optimal pricing structure.
5) Internal Collaboration: Work with sales and operations teams to align pricing with business targets and identify new business opportunities.
6) Systems & Data Management: Maintain and update pricing tools and databases (e.g., ERP systems) to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
