Head of Mechanical Design and Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the mechanical design team (20–50 members) focused on automation and robotics solutions
• Manage the creation of detailed mechanical assembly and fabrication drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, robotics, and industrial design teams to align design outputs with product and market requirements
• Oversee and improve design workflows using Value Engineering principles to optimize cost, quality, and functionality
• Drive external vendor relationships and support sourcing by establishing connections with manufacturers and fabrication partners
• Lead internal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) efforts using computer modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation)
• Monitor project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure delivery of high-quality engineering outputs
• Mentor and train junior engineers to build technical capabilities across the team
• Contribute to strategic design planning and the continual improvement of engineering standards and toolsets
