Geospatial Manager MAP

We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Manager – MAP who brings deep expertise in JMS, Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, REST API design, and IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) administration.

This position focuses on designing and managing enterprise integration capabilities that connect geospatial and mapping platforms with IBM Sterling OMS. You will be tasked with creating resilient, secure, and scalable integration patterns, improving system performance, and supporting real-time data processing for order management, inventory visibility, and location-based fulfillment activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement geospatial integration solutions that connect enterprise mapping platforms with IBM Sterling OMS to enable precise location-based order orchestration and fulfillment.
2. Architect and build event-driven capabilities using JMS and Kafka to deliver real-time data streaming and processing for high-volume geospatial and commerce transactions.
3. Design, develop, and manage RESTful APIs for geospatial data access and order management integrations, ensuring secure, consistent communication.
4. Administer and configure IBM Sterling OMS, including order workflows, inventory rules, service definitions, and integration interfaces with external systems.
5. Enhance JMS and Kafka messaging performance by configuring topics, queues, consumer groups, and error-handling approaches to support high throughput and low latency.
6. Set up monitoring and observability for event-driven systems and REST APIs using metrics, alerts, dashboards, and proactive incident management.
7. Partner with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to convert business needs into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans.
8. Maintain geospatial data quality and consistency through validation rules, data enrichment, and reconciliation processes.
9. Apply security and compliance controls across IBM Sterling OMS, event streams, and REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
10. Coordinate with platform and DevOps teams to standardize deployment methods, automation scripts, configuration templates, and environment provisioning.
11. Perform capacity planning, load testing, and performance analysis to uncover bottlenecks and strengthen reliability and scalability.
12. Document integration architecture, event flows, API specifications, and technical designs to ensure ongoing reusability and maintainability.
13. Provide technical direction and work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that improve customer experience and operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• 12–14 years of experience in enterprise application integration, solution development, or related technology domains.
• Strong hands-on experience with JMS and Kafka in large-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise in Event-Driven Architecture, including event sourcing, choreography, and loosely coupled services.
• Demonstrated experience in REST API design, development, versioning, documentation, security, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience in IBM Sterling OMS administration, configuration, order workflows, inventory management, and integration.
• Knowledge of geospatial and mapping capabilities and how they integrate with order management platforms.
• Experience creating scalable, resilient, and highly available enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of message processing, error handling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating geospatial platforms with IBM Sterling OMS.
• Knowledge of location-based order routing, inventory visibility, and supply chain fulfillment.
• Experience with distributed systems, real-time data streaming, and high-volume transaction processing.
• Knowledge of API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Experience with automation, deployment standardization, and production monitoring.
