General Manager – Quality Assurance / Control & Technical

Location: Silvassa, Gujarat

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Driveoperational excellenceand enhance customer satisfaction while achieving cost reductions.
• Manage plant assessments, audits, and regulatory approvals (BIS certification, customer approvals, etc.).
• Address customer complaints by providingtechnical support and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Develop and implement robustQuality Control strategiesfor all product lines.
• Conduct supplier audits, quality assessments, and ensure100% First-Time-Right (FTR) raw materials.
• Lead initiatives forprocess optimizationanddefect reduction.
• Oversee customer complaint resolution usingCAPA, RCA, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
• Analyzeprocess quality reports, identify trends, and drive corrective actions toachieve zero deviations and scrap reduction.
• Manage and mentor a team ofQC engineers and technicians, ensuring ongoing training and skill development.
• Providetechnical support to sales and marketing teamsin customer interactions and product presentations.

Technical :

• Ensure compliance with national and international standards (ISO, IS, IEC, ASTM, BS, IEEE).
• Prepare technical documentation, including GTP, product data sheets, drum drawings, and packaging details.
• Develop and releaseRaw Material Specifications (RMS)andPlant Technical Specifications (PTS)for all manufacturing stages.
• PrepareManufacturing Quality Plans (MQP)for plant operations andInspection & Test Plans (ITP)for key materials.
• Establish product storage, handling, and installation guidelines for different product types and projects.
• Coordinate type tests for new products, ensuring documentation and execution are completed on time.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to enhance manufacturability and innovation.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:
• Master's / Bachelor's degree inElectrical, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Materials EngineeringOR
• Postgraduate / Graduate degree inScience.
• Experience:
• Minimum10 yearsof experience in relevant product industries OR
• 15+ yearsin similar industries, specializing inQuality Control & Technical.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge ofconductor and cable.
• Proficiency inPLSS CADD, AutoCAD.
• Familiarity withISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001and other industry-specific standards.
• Expertise insustainability trendsin conductor and cable manufacturing.
