Finance & Accounting, Assistant Manager

Job Overview

• Lead and manage the accounting team to optimize the efficiency of daily accounting and financial operations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Inventory management.
• Oversee the comprehensive accounting functions, which encompass the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and management accounts.
• Ensure that budgetary controls, forecasts, projections, and monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner.
• Participate in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, drive process improvements, and ensure robust internal controls are established.
• Guarantee compliance with all operational reporting requirements, monthly financial management needs, and relevant Financial Reporting Standards.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members and handle any ad hoc tasks as necessary.
• Ensure timely submission of tax filings and compliance with Bank Negara requirements.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with new business setups is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in Finance or Accountancy, including supervisory roles.
• Familiarity with the Sage accounting system is a plus.
