FGL Snowflake DBA - Bangalore

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake DBA to manage and optimize our Snowflake data platform. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of the Snowflake environment, while supporting, maintaining, and deploying database solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, monitor, and maintain the Snowflake environment, including data loading and query performance tuning.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot Snowflake-related issues for users.
• Develop and automate reports to track database performance, usage, and operational metrics.
• Manage deployment of database changes with minimal disruption to operations.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including updates, patching, and performance optimization.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, warehouse configurations, and resource usage for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement and manage data security policies, access controls, and encryption.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to support data needs.
• Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on Snowflake best practices.
