Fatigue & Damage Tolerance F&DT Professional

Key Responsibilities

• Lead fatigue and damage tolerance (F&DT) analysis for metallic and composite aircraft structures
• Define fatigue-critical areas, load paths, calculation points, and scatter factors based on regulatory standards
• Ensure compliance with FAR/CS 25.571/29.571, MIL-STD-1530, OEM and airworthiness requirements
• Develop and maintain F&DT methodologies, tool registers, certification checklists, and test documentation
• Lead fatigue test planning, execution review, and correlation with analysis results
• Act as technical approver (Level II/III) for F&DT reports, analysis, and certification deliverables
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of structural fatigue issues and non-conformances
• Oversee end-to-end structural lifecycle from concept design to certification and sustainment
• Manage project scope, requirements traceability, and engineering change control processes
• Ensure alignment of cost, schedule, weight, and performance targets
• Interface directly with clients and act as technical representative in engineering discussions
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with design, manufacturing, quality, and systems teams
• Support digital engineering initiatives including MBSE, MBD, and digital twin integration
