Factory Maintenance & Production Coordinator

The Factory Maintenance & Production Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the highest standards of the factory environment, infrastructure, machinery, workforce productivity, and operational readiness are upheld. This role encompasses the management of factory discipline, maintenance systems, contractor coordination, production monitoring, and general operational maintenance to guarantee inspection preparedness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory Infrastructure & Appearance Management

• Ensure the factory is consistently organized, clean, and professionally maintained.

• Identify areas needing layout, storage, or workstation enhancements.

• Maintain appropriate labeling, quality cards, and product identification systems.

• Keep the factory in a constant state of inspection readiness.

2. Factory Maintenance (Interior & Exterior)

• Oversee the upkeep of flooring, walls, lighting, electrical systems, yard, roofing, and drainage.

• Implement scheduled preventive maintenance practices.

• Address breakdown issues swiftly and effectively.

3. Machinery & Equipment Maintenance

• Administer preventive maintenance schedules for winding machines and material handling equipment.

• Ensure proper servicing, lubrication, and availability of spare parts.

• Keep maintenance logs and work to minimize downtime.

4. Agency & Contractor Management

• Coordinate with external agencies for construction, repairs, fabrication, and upgrades.

• Ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards.

• Evaluate and recommend agencies as necessary.

5. Production Tracking & Labor Management

• Assign daily tasks to the labor workforce.

• Monitor daily production output and manpower utilization.

• Track attendance and leave records.

• Prepare daily production status reports.

6. Pre-Inspection Readiness

• Ensure products are correctly tagged and prepared in advance of inspections.

• Maintain discipline and organization during customer visits.

7. Upgradation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for modernization and increased productivity.

• Recommend automation and infrastructure enhancements.

• Proactively suggest improvements to management.

8. Cleaning & Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall cleanliness of the factory and structured housekeeping practices.

• Implement effective waste disposal and scrap segregation systems.

• Maintain the yard and common areas. Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering preferred.

• Some experience in factory maintenance or production supervision is required.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
