Job Description – FABLAB Engineer

FABLAB, PIERC – Parul University

The FabLab Engineer will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of FABLAB equipment and facilities. The candidate will mentor students, assist in prototype development, and support innovation and fabrication activities within the lab.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain FABLAB machines and equipment.
• Assist students in project development and prototyping.
• Conduct workshops and technical training sessions.
• Ensure safety, inventory management, and proper lab operations.
• Support fabrication activities, including 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, electronics, and embedded systems.

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related fields.
• Knowledge of fabrication technologies such as 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, CNC Router, Electronics, and PCB Prototyping.
• Software knowledge in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo, ANSYS, MATLAB, or similar tools.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and mentoring abilities.
• Experience in FABLAB, Makerspace, or innovation ecosystem preferred.
