Position: Logistics & Export Executive – US Market
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a relevant discipline
Experience: 2-4 years of pertinent experience

Job Overview
Oversee the complete export logistics process for pharmaceutical and chemical products destined for the United States. Ensure adherence to US FDA, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations while facilitating timely and cost-efficient shipments in collaboration with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams.
Key Duties
- Export Operations: Organize and implement shipments to the US for APIs and intermediates, managing both air and sea freight bookings, documentation, and tracking. Establish relationships with local US transportation firms in the Midwest.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and validate export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Analysis, MSDS, TSCA Certificates, and ISF 10+2. Ensure compliance with regulations such as 21 CFR, DGFT, and US Customs.
- Coordination: Communicate with CHAs, freight forwarders, airlines, shipping companies, and US consignees. Work with warehouses for finished goods release, labeling, and UN packaging in accordance with hazmat standards. Manage local logistics within the US.
- Cost & TAT Control: Negotiate freight charges, track demurrage/detention, optimize shipment routes, and guarantee on-time, in-full delivery. Monitor shipping expenses against budget.
- Risk Management: Manage insurance, claims, temperature fluctuations, and customs holds. Maintain CAPA records for export discrepancies.
- ERP & Reporting: Update ERP systems with shipment statuses, GR/GI, and export incentives. Provide weekly management information system reports on shipment pipelines, outstanding documents, and fulfilled orders.
Technical Expertise:
- US import regulations: FDA, CBP, TSCA, DOT Hazmat
- Incoterms 2020, HS Codes, ECCN classification
- Cold chain and hazardous materials handling – IATA DGR, IMDG Code
Required Skills
✓ Exceptional accuracy in documentation and vendor negotiation.
✓ Proficient in written and spoken English communication.
✓ Ability to coordinate in US time zones and solve problems under time constraints.
✓ Understanding of US bonded warehouses and third-party logistics distribution models.
✓ Experience in facilities audited by USFDA.
✓ Track record of On-Time In-Full delivery to US clients.
✓ No customs penalties or FDA holds due to documentation issues.
✓ Freight cost management per kilogram against targets.
