ETL Automation Lead / Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement test automation frameworks for backend data validation, including RDBMS, flat files, Kafka, and Big Data systems
• Perform Big Data and ETL automation testing using HiveQL and other big data technologies
• Conduct automated validation on data transformation pipelines and ensure data accuracy across sources and targets
• Develop and execute SQL queries and shell scripts for testing and validation tasks
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams using tools like Jira, ALM, and Confluence
• Participate in defect management and maintain comprehensive documentation of issues through their lifecycle
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices and contribute to test strategy and planning
• Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data validation
• Provide employment proof at the time of submission, as per project compliance needs

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of data comparison automation for data transformation validation
• Experience in end-to-end defect lifecycle management
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
• Experience in client interaction and test team leadership
