Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager who brings a strong background in technical leadership, engineering management, project management, and task management. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on development experience in either frontend (web development) or backend technologies (Node.js and JavaScript), coupled with proven team leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Management: Oversee and manage a development team, ensuring efficient task management, timely project delivery, and alignment with overall business goals.
• Technical Project Ownership: Lead technical projects, guaranteeing high-quality output and adherence to established timelines.
• Hands-on Expertise: Provide hands-on guidance and technical expertise in either frontend or backend development, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design) to design, develop, and implement new product features.
• Team Development: Drive team growth by mentoring individual contributors and fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive team culture.
• Communication: Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, delivering clear presentations and updates as needed.

Requirements

• Experience:
• 6-9 years of hands-on development experience in frontend technologies (web development) OR backend technologies (Node.js and JavaScript).
• 2-3 years of experience specifically in managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, preferably from Tier II engineering institutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong technical foundation with a proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in product-based organizations.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and best practices in software development.
