Engineering Manager
Job Description
Hiring, Engineering Manager with a strong customer focus, ability to solve complex business problems, attention to detail and highly collaborative communication skills. Engineering Manager will lead a team of talented developers to deliver a high quality customer facing progressive web app that can run at scale. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who embrace new technologies with cutting edge development practices, Continuous Integration, continuous delivery, and world class mobility experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Architect, Design and build customer facing progressive web app for scale
•Collaboration with cross functional teams in terms of development & deployment.
•Should be able to associate himself with the below: Agile, Pair-Programming, Scrum, CI-CD, Devops, Jenkins, TDD, BDD, AWS, JIRA, Bitbucket, Git,
•Sound knowledge of Software Architecture and design patterns
•Self-learner with a desire to stay informed on best practices and latest in web development
•Ability to multi-task and switch context to changing priorities in a highly dynamic environment
•Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially in a complex application stack
•Proficient in written and spoken English
•Should be able to guide and mentor 6-10 member development team on Java and Javascript stack
•Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Education & Certificates
•BE/ B. Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Experience & Skills
•8-14 years of total professional experience
•4+ years of experience in leading development team
•2+ years of experience in Agile application development projects
•Should have led the design and development of at least one customer facing application across full stack
•Extensive experience with JAVA and Spring
•Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
•Hands-on experience working with Object Oriented JavaScript (OOJS) , JavaScript libraries and their practical uses in building complex interactive experiences
•Experience with current JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React and Node. js
•Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS (incl. AWS Lambdas & Step Functions)
•Experience with Agile development; comfortable working in 2-week sprints resulting in a working, potentially shippable product at the end of every sprint
•Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
•Exposure to AWS or any cloud service
•Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain long-term business relationships
•Self-starter, self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision Work transparently in a non-hierarchical, matrix-based organization structure
