Electrical Engineer- HV Cable

Job Description:

• Stantec is a leading global consultancy firm providing engineering design, program management, technology solutions and procurement support to infrastructure, water, wastewater, Buildings, Energy & Resources (E&R) and the environmental industrial sectors of North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific region.
• Stantec is looking for an engineer who can contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec Pune India Private Ltd by providing technical expertise in the FEED design and detailed design for HV electrical cable and cable systems, including interconnectors, HVDC and HVAC cables. The candidate will ideally have a wide knowledge of the transmission and distribution sector, having worked with several of the key T&D clients across Globe. A Career Level 4 HV cable engineer carries out engineering assignments of moderate to complex level.
• The role also requires supporting principal engineers by providing technical expertise to ensure that project outcomes in terms of profit, schedule, and technical and quality standards, meet both the client s and Stantec s expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Calculation of ampacity for various cable configurations
• Cable earthing arrangement to ENA ER C55/4
• Cable route design
• Cable Sealing End Design
• Trenching & Temporary Work Design
• Bonding Cable/ECC rating calculation
• Specifications for LV and HV cables
• Cable Pulling calculations.
• Underground cable sizing calculation including heat dissipation
• Perform QA/QC on projects before submittal to the client
