Elastic AIOps Engineer

Position Overview:

• Proficient in utilizing the Elastic Stack in a production environment, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, Elastic Agent, and APM, with a focus on ingestion pipelines, Index Lifecycle Management (ILM), and performance optimization.

Core Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated expertise in the Elastic Stack in a production setting, encompassing Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, Elastic Agent, and APM, with an emphasis on ingestion pipelines, ILM, and performance enhancement.
• In-depth knowledge of observability fundamentals, including logs, metrics, traces, Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and alerting, with practical experience in developing Kibana dashboards, service maps, and alerts.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and any Enterprise APM for consistent instrumentation and ECS-based data modeling.
• Experience with Elastic Machine Learning for tasks such as anomaly detection, forecasting, and log categorization.
• Understanding of AIOps methodologies, including event correlation, alert noise reduction, root cause analysis, and automated remediation, with integrations to IT service management tools like ServiceNow or PagerDuty.
• Desirable experience in AI for observability, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector semantic search, and the Elastic AI Assistant for Observability.
