Draughtsman

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Drafting and Drawing

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software based on engineering specifications and design concepts.
• Translate conceptual sketches and technical requirements into accurate technical drawings.
• Maintain and update drawing documentation as per project requirements.

Design Coordination

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Provide technical support in design development and modifications.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, engineering codes, and industry norms.

Project Documentation

• Maintain proper records of all drawings and revisions.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), component layouts, and assembly drawings as needed.
• Ensure proper version control and document management.

Quality and Standards Compliance

• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards.
• Conduct technical checks and revisions before final approval.
• Ensure adherence to safety, statutory, and quality standards in all drawings.

Mentoring and Guidance

• Guide and mentor junior draughtsman in drafting standards and techniques.
• Provide training on CAD tools and best practices in drafting.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience as a draughtsman in engineering, construction, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and industry standards.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in technical drafting.
