Job Description
- Plan and coordinate timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers
- Monitor delivery progress and resolve issues such as delays or route changes promptly
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery operations
- Manage and train a team of dispatchers to meet job demands efficiently
- Monitor driver and vehicle performance, implementing measures to improve efficiency and safety
- Analyze delivery data and recommend process and route improvements
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, transportation, and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records and prepare reports for management and stakeholders
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of transportation logistics and delivery processes
