Job Description
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to support Paytm's diverse services.
- Lead the automation of build, deployment, testing, and release processes using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health, performance, and availability of Paytm's applications and infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, ELK stack).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner, participating in on-call rotations as needed.
- Optimize infrastructure costs and performance through efficient resource utilization and capacity planning.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Implement and enforce security best practices within the infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Evaluate and adopt new DevOps tools and technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in architectural discussions and provide input on infrastructure design and scalability.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage and maintain containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in performance testing and tuning of applications and infrastructure.
- Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks and performance issues.
